Vocabulary Stories

The Blue Macaw
-Mystaree Hangen

There was once a blue macaw, named Isabella. She was lost in the desert. Isabella said, "I'm so parched. I can drink a whole ocean!" She could even imagine the water teeming over the cup or the bowl.

Isabella had insights of food and water all day. Isabella tried and tried to hook and build a dwelling, but it didn't work. Isabella smelt an essence of food. She thought she was sorrowful and was tempted to look for some. Then she realized she was in a back yard. Isabella was baffled by what was happening. She thought the back yard was uninhabitable. Her instinct came back and she remembered where the door was.
